Message So, here are some comments made by customers who already know of the joys of the Racelogic traction control system. Some are from e-mails we've received, and others are comments found on various internet forums.

"I am sold on the traction control unit. I can not believe the diff it makes driving my Z. Don't get my wrong, I loved to modulate the throttle and short shift to keep the back tires in traction. It makes going faster that more fun. As an example, here in SoCal there is a run called the Shelter Valley, starts in Shelter Valley and ends at I8, east SD county. Its 26 miles long through the middle of nowhere desert. Lots of slow, mid and of course HIGH speed corners and lets don't forget the straight aways, one is about 2 miles. Last time I made the run it took me 14 min's or about a avg of 112mph, today 12 min's or about 130. Kick Ass!" - Mike Arwood

"I just installed the unit and gave it it's first real test on roads that ranged from just wet to slushy and gravelly... what a difference... this unit is fantastic just the merest indication of a slip before it kicks in and helps get things back under control." - Chris Gould

"Leaving my subdivision I took a right turn onto a major road and floored it. The car accelerated just as quickly as normal but at the first sign of wheel slip (still taking the turn) the traction control kicked in. I could hear the engine make a very quick hesitation (split second) but I did not notice any loss of power, the thing I did notice is the car kept accelerating around the turn but the rear never came out. So I found a few more sharp turns and tried it some more. No matter what I did I could not power slide (with the unit set on 0% wheelspin), the wheels would slip just a little before the traction control kicked in and assisted through the rest of the turn. Next I did a couple of launches. I couldn't get too crazy being on a major road but the few times I was able to punch it from a dead stop the acceleration was awesome. Usually first and second gear are worthless when I floor the gas, I normally shift through those gears pretty quick because of lack of control due to wheel spin. With the traction control I was able to ride first and second gear all the way up (WOT) w/out losing control of the tires. I honestly felt the car was able to get up to speed a lot quicker then before. After that I took it out on some very curvy back roads. This is an area I drive a lot with the Z and w/the Traction control ON it held the turns very nicely and at higher speeds then I have ever taken these roads at before. Still lots more to try tomorrow. Everything I did today was w/the unit set to WET or max traction control." - Orion

"Its saved my ass several times, I feel much safer on bad roads. Launch control is a really nice feature if you like to drag race. If I bought another Z that would probably be the first mod I'd put on, it just makes the Z so much safer and works perfectly. Yep, Z's are pretty tough to keep control of in bad weather. Just one suggestion, do not ever turn the traction control off! I actually had an accident a few weeks back in dry weather, it was the first time I turned the TC off in over a year. Was at a local Supra, RX7, Z meet and turned it off to spin the wheels a bit. On the way home I forgot to turn it back on and the rear end kicked out and hit another car when I applied power in 3rd gear. I really regret it happening but the car has been fixed and I learned my lesson, never turn the TC off again!" - Orion 1 year later

"With my TC set at 0% slip I can't get the rear to go out on any sort of bend, unless of course I deliberately went in to fast, break hard and turn in hard... Anyhow - as for safety, 0% is really only a wet setting, it's to harsh on a dry road. 5% is probably still over the top, but it works. And I can totally believe that this system increases your tyre life... it must. Anyhow, on the street I tend to run at 10% or 15% - I'm still experimenting with these settings. As far as speeding out of junctions and going hard around bends (100% throttle), well - I've now been on the track with it. I was coming out of fast 80mph bends flooring the car, it was just loosing traction as I floored it out of the apex. Well, with really soft tyres and that sort of load you could actively hear the TC cutting just to gently take the slip until I was back on the straight again. I know what you're thinking, did I try it without traction control, no, next time I will... but I will have to learn the track first without TC... because I was never sure how much the rear would have gone without it! Although I was complaining the launch control is a clutch eater, when you set it to 3300 revs for instance (perhaps a little low!) clutch + floor it. Well, it's really odd, the car launches so smooth (10% slip or just under, I recon for a straight launch), it's weird, it just takes off. My friend with me at the time, (with a supra that has factory TC already) can now understand why Racelogic has a picture of a Supra on their ad. The factory ones just aren't the same!." - Jez

"I just went out and tested the system on a wet parking lot, it drives just like the ground was dry when you set it to wet. I was peeling out with it off at 2500 RPM. Definately a good purchase on my part, thanks for your help." - TelZX

"Lately, nothing has put a bigger smile on my face while driving my car then the speed shift option. It feels really odd to leave your foot planted on the floor, but the way the car accellerates in the next gear is awesome because the turbos are still spinning hard from the prior gear. Makes anyone look like a pro race driver. ;-)" - Dallas DamonZ

"Thought I would drop you guy's a quick line after having installed your traction control system myself and have experienced it's benefits now for several weeks, what can I say (it's great) it lived up to my expectations and exceeded them also. Having installed many aftermarket components to my vehicles over the years, I have come to evaluate aftermarket parts in terms of how well they integrate with vehicle as a whole package, this is as good as if Honda had offered traction control as original equipment. Nice work!" - Bob Bothwick

"Hi... I had an adjustable traction control unit fitted to my MKIV Supra about eight months ago and its performance on the road has been remarkable. With this in mind I booked myself on a track day arranged by the UK Supras club and despite the un-modified state of my car I was able to keep up with other Supra owners with a 50-100 bhp advantage.....indeed one 450bhp car driver commented to me that I left him behind on every single corner and he couldn't catch me up on the straights despite his obvious power advantage. It's rare for me buy anything that surpasses my expectations and this certainly does......I wholeheartedly recommend this system. Congratulations on an excellent product!" - Gavin Loughton

"Just wanted to let you know that I finally got the chance to install the unit this weekend and I am very pleased so far. Installation was not difficult, thanks to your excellent instructions, but lengthy of course and I certainly am glad to have it out of the way and working 100%. Wet weather is headed our way by the end of the week and I am eagerly awaiting my chance to see how the unit will hold up. Thanks again for a good buying experience and a great product." - Drew Milby

"This device is awesome and I can't imaging driving a car without it. It responds much more precisely and MUCH faster than the stock TC on my wife's Jaguar XKR." - Randall A. Roth
